To ensure a hassle-free process for claiming benefits for your contact lenses through your health insurance fund, please follow these guidelines:
Verify Your Coverage
Ensure that you have extras optical cover with your health insurance policy. Please note that hospital cover alone does not provide coverage for optical services.
Valid Prescription Requirement
Only order contact lenses that are explicitly prescribed for the purpose of health fund insurance claims. Contact lens prescriptions differ from those for spectacles. Upload your prescription to your profile under My Profile → Prescriptions → Upload Prescription.
Name Matching
Ensure that the name on your contact lens order matches the name registered on your health insurance policy. Inconsistencies may lead to claim rejection.
Non-Prescription Lenses Exclusion
Non-prescription or plano contact lenses, considered cosmetic products, are not eligible for claims. Only claim benefits for prescribed lenses for vision correction needs.
Checking Your Coverage
If you wish to ascertain whether your health insurance covers specific items related to contact lenses, kindly send an email and list the items you intend to order. Our team will promptly respond with the corresponding item codes. Check these codes with your health fund provider to obtain your cover.
Initiating Your Claim
Purchase a product online through the website. Upload your prescription to your profile. Send us an email requesting an itemized invoice for your prescription eyewear. We will provide all the information needed to make a health insurance claim.
