To ensure a hassle-free process for claiming benefits for your contact lenses through your health insurance fund, please follow these guidelines:

Verify Your Coverage:

Before proceeding with your claim, it's essential to confirm that you have extras optical cover as part of your health insurance policy. Please note that hospital cover alone does not provide coverage for optical services.

Valid Prescription Requirement:

You must possess a valid and current contact lens prescription issued by a qualified optometrist. Only order contact lenses that are explicitly prescribed for the purpose of health fund insurance claims. Please bear in mind that contact lens prescriptions differ from prescriptions for spectacles. This can be uploaded to your profile under My Profile -> Prescriptions -> Upload Prescription

Name Matching:

To prevent any complications during the claims process, ensure that the name on your contact lens order matches precisely with the name registered on your health insurance policy. Any inconsistency in names could lead to the rejection of your claim by your health insurance provider.

Non-Prescription/Plano Lenses Exclusion:

It's important to note that non-prescription or plano contact lenses, which are considered cosmetic products, are not eligible for health fund claims. Therefore, you can only claim benefits for contact lenses prescribed to address vision correction needs.

Checking Your Coverage:
 
If you wish to ascertain whether your health insurance covers specific items related to contact lenses, kindly send an email to admin@twentytimestwo.com.au. In your email, list the items you intend to order, and our team will promptly respond with the corresponding item codes. Check these codes with your healthfund provider to obtain your cover.

Intiating your claim:

Purchase a product online through the website.

Upload your prescription to your profile

Send us an email to admin@twentytimestwo.com.au requesting an itemised invoice for your prescription eyewear.
